CHÂTEAU DES CHARMES |
Bright pale straw colour. Very spicy, complex, intensely cedary nose. Dry, medium bodied, spicy, very cedary, somewhat baked, apple-lemon flavours with a lingering, high acid finish. Barrel fermented and aged sur lie for 12 months. The fruit seems a tad more subdued than expected. Has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar. |

TASTING NOTE: Barrel fermented and aged sur lie for as many as 12 months, the St. David's Bench Vineyard Chardonnay offers notes of buttercream, melon and exotic fruit on the nose with some spice and smoke tones, as well as a nice mineral lift. Creamy and rich with a tangy acidity that keeps this feeling elegant and fresh. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2015) |
