A Best Buy
Laurent Fresnet, Henriot's cellar master, was awarded Sparkling Winemaker of the Year at the 2015 International Wine Challenge. TASTING NOTE: Gorgeous and consistent wine that balances fruit density with toasty developed character and always, always elegant. Plenty of citrus, green apple and wild strawberry flavours are robed in brioche and roasted nuts all carried into a lengthy finish on a creamy, sensuous texture. Complex from a high percentage of reserve wines, vinous from 60+ percent of pinot noir, and yeasty from several years in the bottle - it's rich but lithe and well-framed by chalky minerals.
