THE RANSOM OLD VINE PETITE SIRAH 2012 Lodi |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

SEVEN SINNERS |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Somewhat jammy, spicy, blueberry-plum puree nose with some vanilla notes. Very slightly sweet (13 g/L residual sugar), medium bodied, spicy, jammy, plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, cedary finish. Too sweet and jammy for me. Ready-to-drink. The 2010 (*+/**) was released on May 11, 2013 at $24.95. The average price in the US is $16 CND. |

TASTING NOTE: Sourced from vines that average 50+ years of age, this is a quaffable wine with interesting depth. Aromas and flavours of spice, green pepper and dark fruit, it will be a winning addition to barbecue fare, and especially beside grilled steak. (VINTAGES panel, Jan. 2014) |
