If you are unfamilliar with Petite Sirah, there are two things you need to know: the grape is not related to Syrah and the wine is anything but petite. This is a big, muscular wine with dense cherry, plum and blueberry fruit flavours and notes of pepper and smoke. The dry tannins are fairly intense, so rare or medium-rare beef would be the ideal match. |
