| This non-Vintages Pinot Gris was tasted at a comparative Italian-Ontario blind tasting on January 29, 2015. It tied for FIRST PLACE! Bright very light yellow colour. Attractive, slightly spicy, fairly intense, ripe melon-apple purée nose with some yellow grapefruit notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, quite well structured, gently spicy, slightly honeyed, ripe melon flavours with a lingering, gently complex, crisp finish. Made in a ripe French Alsatian style with 14.5% alcohol, this exceptional Beamsville Bench Pinot Gris offers incredible value and will go well with a wide variety of dishes. Screwcap closure. |
