PINOT GRIGIO 2017 DOC Alto Adige |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

One of 52 items (49% of 106 releases) not presented for evaluation under new LCBO policies. Any item that is not presented is assigned NO star (-) and an interim 0-point proxy score until it is properly assessed. The 2014 last appeared in Vintages (*+/**) on September 3, 2016 at $16.95 and was an Explorer Selection. Here is my previous note: Bright pale straw colour. Gently honeyed, slightly spicy, ripe apple-melon nose with some mineral notes. Dry, light bodied, faintly tart, lemon-apple flavours with a crisp finish. It now (2017) comes with a screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: 100% Pinot Grigio. Lifted ripe pear and citrus aromas are echoed on the palate. Fresh, vibrant and lively with crunchy nashi pear notes supported by fresh mineral acidity. Finishes clean and bright. Long, mineral-iodine finish. Score - 95 (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2018) |
