| Recipient of the Vintage Assessments Italian Red Wine Value Award for 2019. Deep intense purple colour. Attractive, very gently smoky, faint mocha-chocolate-tinged nose with some spicy, plum-cherry notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, intense, bright, spicy, very ripe, plum-cherry purée flavours with a fairly crisp, lingering, fairly high acid finish. This lovely, ready-to-drink blend of 30% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 30% Rondinella and 10% of four other varieties has a hefty 14% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2017 L5 on the back label. This is the 33rd release in Vintages since 2001 and in the last 14 years the price has risen from $16.95 to $17.95. |

Look for mocha, espresso, black olive and cherry aromas and flavours in a chiselled, precise frame.
