| Very bright pale straw colour. Very intense, complex, slightly spicy, faintly honeyed, mineral-tinged, harmonious, ripe lemon meringue, nose with some hazelnut and mineral notes. Very dry, medium-full bodied, very well proportioned, well structured, rich, mouth-filling, intense, ripe lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, crisp, gently toasty, faint lime-tinged finish along with excellent effervescence. This refined NEW blend of now 33% (down from 50%) Pinot Noir, 41% (up from 36%) Chardonnay and 26% (up from 14%) Meunier has 12.5% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar with lot number LALDW on the back label and LALDWAD00004 on the lower part of the glass bottle. For me, this is one of the best Champagnes tasted this year. The recommended 2009 (***/***+) was released on December 8, 2018 at $91.95. |

| TASTING NOTE: Disgorged in February 2018 with five grams per liter dosage, Moët's 2012 Extra Brut Grand Vintage is showing well, unfurling in the glass with an expressive bouquet of ripe yellow orchard fruit, peaches, toasted nuts, warm bread and honeycomb. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with a tangy but ripe core of fruit, nicely integrated acids and a pinpoint mousse, concluding with an attractively fruit-driven finish. The 2012 reflects both the concentration of the vintage and Moët's push for riper fruit, and it is already quite accessible. Drink date: 2018-2028.
