Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, ripe melon-apple-lemon purée flavours with a lingering, fairly high-acid, mineral-tinged finish. Nicely done and ready-to-drink. Has 11% alcohol and 11 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / BUY - Minerally nose of honeyed grapefruit with hints of petrol; light to medium-bodied, just off-dry, with honey, apple and green plum flavours. Gold Medal winner at the 2018 National Wine Awards of Canada. TASTING NOTE: A fabulously complex nose showing wax, grilled lemon, sage and honeyed fruit. The palate starts dry and rich and almost thick in texture before the acidity builds through the honeyed, mineral and ripe tree fruit notes, finishing long and full of intrigue. Score - 92 (Rhys Pender, MW, winealign.com, Aug. 3, 2018) |
