SALENTEIN |
Bright fairly deep red colour. Slightly spicy, warm, ripe, plum-cherry purée nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, smooth, spicy, rounded, fairly intense, ripe plum-cherry-cranberry flavours with a lingering, fairly high-acid, spicy, gently cedary finish. Attractive and quite ready to drink. This 100% Pinot Noir has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number LET18150 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / BEST BUY - Ruby colour; earthy, strawberry puree bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, elegant, well-balanced and well structured strawberry flavour; great mouth-feel. |

TASTING NOTE: A great example of high-altitude cool-climate winemaking, this Pinot is sourced from between 1,050 and 1,700 metres elevation. It's floral, silky, smooth and ripe, with juicy black cherry, spice and sweet toasted herbs. Quite easy-drinking (thanks to the seam of refined acidity) and long, with superb balance. Enjoy with grilled tuna steaks or pork dishes. (Vintages panel, Feb. 2018) |
