ZACHARIAS) |
Bright medium straw colour. Attractive, slightly spicy, fresh, ripe, apple-lemon-melon nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, quite well structured, very faintly spritzy, floral, spicy, unoaked, fresh, ripe lemon-melon-apple flavours with a lingering, crisp finish. Quite ready to drink - terrific value and best with seafood and/or poultry. Has 14% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L18001 on the back label. |

Speaking of Assyrtiko, Jeanne Thexton said the following: \"This unique Greek grape is rising from relative obscurity, with an insider cult following, to achieve a resonant new voice in the wine world.\" (Decanter, Jan. 12, 2016) TASTING NOTE: Here's a modern, robust and alluring Assyrtiko with intense green apple and citrus underscored by a nice mineral note. Brilliant acidity keeps things snappy. It'll match well with seafood. (Vintages panel, March 2018) |
