Burrowing Owl gives a hoot about sustainability. In fact, they're a leader in eco-conscious winemaking in the Okanagan Valley. They've installed banks of photovoltaic solar panels on their property to provide their own sustainable energy, and their solar water-heating project is so successful that they've literally got more hot water than they know what to do with in the winery (their solution: use the excess to heat a swimming pool for lucky visitors). Their Cabernet is consistently big and impressively structured with layers of red fruit, dark fruit and oak spice. |
