TASTING NOTE: Burnt Ship takes its name from an incident in 1759: During the Seven Years War, which, for those who don't know, was a global conflict essentially between Great Britain and France, French troops stationed in Canada burned several ships to prevent their falling into English hands. This Vidal Icewine delivers rich notes of honey, candied lemon, peach, pineapple, orange zest, melon and spicy ginger. Ideal for pairing with blue-veined cheeses. (Vintages panel, March 2018) |
