JCB N° 21 BRUT CRÉMANT DE BOURGOGNE Traditional method, AC, Burgundy, France |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
BOISSET |
Bright pale straw colour. Very slightly spicy, ripe melon-apple puree nose with some mineral notes. Fairly dry, medium-light bodied, crisp, spicy, apple-melon-lemon flavours with a crisp, unoaked finish. Fairly good effervescence. Ready-to-drink. Has 12% alcohol with 12 g/L residual sugar and is made in the Traditional method. Last appeared in Vintages (**) on March 19, 2016 at $27.95. Everything about this bubbly is fine, except the price which for my taste is too high. |

You can expect this Crémant from Jean-Charles Boisset to be a crisp, richly textured wine with impressive citrus and bright fruit tones. There will be a driving acidity here, keeping the wine lithe and fresh and asserting the style's food friendly character. Great with seafood, fish, grilled pork or as a palate-refresher between bites for any meal. |
