TASTING NOTE: Just about two-thirds Merlot and one-third Cabernet Franc, the 2017 vintage of this perennially popular bistro-style red offers ripe berry fruit, violets, black pepper and a touch of cedar. Not overly hefty, it'll make a nice warm-weather sipping red and will suit herbed meaty pizza or barbecued chicken. (Vintages panel, March 2018) |
