POUILLY-FUISSÉ 2016 AC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
CHARTON ET TRÉBUCHET |
Bright medium straw colour. Quite attractive, slightly spicy, ripe lemon meringue nose with some slight toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, bright, ripe lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, slightly nutty finish. A fine, albeit not inexpensive, Pouilly-Fuissé that is worth trying. Has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar. |

A Vintage Assessments Explorer's Selection! |
Domaine Jean Chartron has produced wines from premier and grand cru sites since 1859. They joined forces with Louis Trébuchet in 1984 to create Chartron et Trébuchet. The company has been under the stewardship of fourth-generation winemaker Vincent Sauvestre since 2004. The vines of Chartron et Trébuchet's vineyards average over 30 years of age. You can expect this to be a characteristically stylish Pouilly-Fuissé with great focus and minerality.
