Tasting note: This is crafted from the best parcels of Chardonnay matured in the best barrels from the vintage. The wine is rich and layered, with great precision and focus, alluring texture and superb vibrancy. There's a touch of spice underlying the apple and citrus tones, and a refined minerality. The balance is such that this is both robust and finessed. Very nice. This spirited wine calls for grilled lobster or grilled salmon. (Vintages panel, May 2018) |
