TASTING NOTE: This is a quite fine, lighter pinot that captures classic cool climate cran-strawberry red fruit character with nicely woven oak spice and some pinot forest floor earthiness. It is mid-weight, fairly taut, firm and well balanced with some granular tannin. The focus and length are very good. And it avoids acetone volatility that bothers so many Ontario pinots. Tasted November 2017. Score - 90 (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Nov. 20, 2017) |
