Fairly deep gold colour. Ripe, slightly peaty, plummy-prune and dried pear fruit on the nose with a hint of crËme br˚lÈe. Firm, slightly peppery, surprisingly hot (46%),spicy, red pepper and ripe plum purÈe flavours with a long finish. Note that a freshly opened sample had some herbal bulrush hints. Last appeared in Vintages (**) on January 11, 2003 at $89.95. |

Tasting note: The colour of amber suggests a jewel capturing life from the past. The 15 year-old Glenfarclas captures the very present Speyside in this amber gold whisky. Sherry smoked malt with a bolder velvet body. Aggressive in the nicest way, with a fine weave of a fruity malt, spice and smoke. Excellent finish. Score 92.
