The husband-and-wife team behind Featherstone takes responsibility for their vines from the ground to the air. In order to limit the damage that grape-nibbling birds, such as starlings, cause to the wine crop, co-owner Louise Engel flies a Harris's hawk in the vineyard while Dave Johnson tends to the vines. This unconventional blend of Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer offers soaring floral and citrus characters. Nicely chill and sip, or pair with sushi or spicy spring rolls. |
