THE GLENROTHES |
Bright medium gold colour Intense, very peppery, dusty, somewhat smoky, complex, baked apple-plum nose. Dry medium bodied, very spicy, baked plum flavours with a lingering, high acid, youthful, resin-tinged, cedary finish. Has 40% alcohol. I sure wish that it tasted as good as the tasting note appearing nose the Vintages Catalogue. |

TASTING NOTE: Dusty light gold color. Green aromas and flavors of morning dew on a meadow, spiced peach and plum, kidd leather and lipstick, and floral honey butter with a silky, crisp, fruity medium body and a tingling, complex, medium-long peat, minerals, spice, and cigar tobacco finish. A spry, scintillating malt whisky with a delicate dash of peat. Exceptional. Score - 93 (tastings.com, Aug. 3, 2016) |
