Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
MEGALOMANIAC |
Medium deep ruby red colour. Very attractive, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry-cassis puree nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, attractive, tangy, gently cedary, fresh ripe cassis-cherry-plum puree flavours with a lingering, very faintly off dry, fresh, high acid, bright, apple-lemon finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 87.5-points - Red plum on the nose with a struck flint and barnyard note; medium-bodied, dry, firmly structured and somewhat tight at the moment. An interesting blend of Gamay, Pinot Noir Rose and Merlot Rose. |
