Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

HENRY OF PELHAM |
The wrong vintage 2015, not 2016 was presented in the LCBO lab. Here is the note on the 2016: Bright medium straw colour. Slightly honeyed, very spicy, honeyed, ripe apple-melon-lemon nose with some mineral notes. Faintly sweet, medium-light bodied, honeyed, bright, spicy, ripe apple-melon-lemon flavours with a lingering, crisp, unoaked, mineral-tinged finish. Has 11.5% alcohol and 13 g/L residual sugar with lot number 3117B23 2016 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / BEST BUY - Minerally, slightly smoky, honeyed grapefruit bouquet and a light floral note; light-bodied, off-dry, grapefruit and lime flavours with a touch of honey for balance. Long lemony finish of mouth-watering acidity. |

TASTING NOTE: This is a pale, slim-downed, well balanced riesling with somewhat reserved aromas of lemon blossom, green apple, spice and some minerality. It's streamlined, just off-dry and nervy with fine acidity. The length is excellent. Some lovely sour lemon bitterness on the finish. Very pretty.
