MONT DE MILIEU CHABLIS 1ER CRU 2015 AC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
DOMAINE PINSON FRÈRES |
Bright light straw colour. Intense, complex, fairly toasty, key lime pie nose with some mineral-tinged, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, tangy, intense, key lime pie flavours with a lingering, high acid, gently cedary finish. Has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 92-points / TRY - Mineral, apple nose with a floral top note and a touch of spice; medium-bodied, crisply dry, almost tart with green apple and lemon flavours and a surprising note of caramel on the end taste. |

TASTING NOTE: Here too there is just enough reduction to push the notably ripe and mildly exotic aromas to the background. On the plus side the concentrated and caressing medium-bodied flavors possess good mid-palate fat that buffers the moderately firm acid spine on the saline-inflected finish. I like the complexity as well as the relatively refined mouth feel and this well-made effort should be approachable young if desired. Drink: 2022+. Outstanding.
