Deep dense intense purple colour. Deceased, dusty, oxidized, baked plum nose with lots of cedary notes. Very dry, medium to medium-full bodied, intense, dusty, cooked plum flavours with a lingering, bitter, somewhat herbal, cedary finish. Tasted twice. This fading blend of 56% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Syrah has 14% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. |

Gold Medal winner at the 2017 Pacific Rim Wine Competition. TASTING NOTE: It is 56% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Franc, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Syrah. There are aromas of vanilla and cherry; flavours of black cherry and black currant. The long ripe tannins make this eminently quaffable. Score - 89 (John Schreiner, johnschreiner.blogspot.com, Aug. 14, 2017) |
