Bright medium red colour. Slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry nose with some mineral-tinged notes. Dry, medium-light to light bodied, somewhat spicy, fresh, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a crisp, unoaked finish. Has 12.0% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. Much better than the 2014 (*+) released on September 17, 2016 at $17.95. TONY ASPLER / 88-points / BUY - bright cherry bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, fruity cherry flavour; easy drinking. |

Gold Medal winner at the 2017 National Wine Awards of Canada. TASTING NOTE: Here's a juicy, fullish, succulent gamay with a fine measure of typical red berry fruit, if riper than the mean for Ontario. Indeed alcohol is a touch warming, but this remains balanced and fresh. An excellent example. Score - 90 (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com, July 27, 2017) |
