LAKEVIEW CELLARS |
Bright medium cherry colour. Sweet, strawberry-apple purée nose with some caramel notes. Sweet, medium to medium-light bodied, strawberry-apple-plum jam flavours with some French vanilla ice cream notes on the lingering fairly crisp finish. Evolving since last tasted and should be drunk fairly soon. This FOURTH REPEAT has 11% alcohol and now 192 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 91-points - Deep amber with a ruby tint; a nose of honey and strawberries; medium-bodied, strawberry puree and honey flavours; beautifully balanced and firm with cleansing acidity and an engaging touch of bitterness on the finish. Not up to the 2013 (***) last released on February 4, 2017 at $29.95. There was some bottle variation between the press and consultants previews in the LCBO lab. |

TASTING NOTE: An expressive note of black cherry, strawberry and blueberry pie. It's sweet and rich on the palate with strawberry/raspberry jam and subtle herbs that provide a lavish and textured icewine with good balance from freshening acidity through the finish. Score - 92 (Rick VanSickle, winesinniagara.com, Aug. 7, 2017) |
