NORTH 42 DEGREES |
Very deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, expansive, ripe plum-cherry-raspberry nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, fairly classy, ripe blueberry-plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, very gently cedary, lingering finish. Unfortunately this well structured rather serious red has one of the most uninspiring labels I have ever seen! Has a 14.7% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points / BUY - Spicy, clove and black fruits on the nose; medium-bodied, dry, spicy, red berry flavour with a clovey oak note on the finish.Nicknamed “the Beaver”, it is not to be confused with the “Frisky Beaver”. |
