Very bright extremely pale salmon pink colour. Attractive, slightly spicy, bright, ripe melon-apple-strawberry nose. Fairly dry, medium-light bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, bright, ripe, fresh, bright apple-melon-lemon flavours with a very crisp unoaked finish. Organic and ready-to-drink. TIM APPELT / 88.5-points / BUY - A lighter salmon colour with a hint of copper. Aromas of ripe strawberries, red apples, lemons and melons are complemented by a note of apple blossoms. Dry, with crisp acidity and balanced alcohol. A pleasant freshness marks he fruit on the palate, while a firm bitterness enhances the finish. Very pleasant indeed. Crafted from organic grapes grown using biodynamic practices, this is 100% Bobal: a grape that may be new to you but has been around since the 15th century and is Spain's second-most planted red grape after Tempranillo. Dark-skinned and native to Spain's southeast, its impressive acidity adds lift and freshness when used in blends, while its structure and concentrated fruit flavours add complexity and depth. You can expect this to be textured and rich with impressive red cherry tones. It will be a fine match for grilled salmon steaks. |
