This 21-year-old is matured entirely in Sherry butts. Tasting note: Tasting note: Colour: Amber. Nose: More Sherry, butter, sultana-like fruitiness. Sweet lemon juice on a pancake. Greater smokiness, as well as a dash of oak. All slowly emerges as distinct notes. Body: Big, firm. Palate: Immense flavour development. Raisiny, spicy, gingery. Finish: Remarkably long, with lots of sherry, becoming sweetish and perfumy. Score 89. (Michael Jackson s Malt Whisky Companion, 4th Edition, 1999) |
