Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
KWV |
Bright light day-glo yellow colour. Very attractive, slightly spicy, toasty, honeycomb nose with some lemon meringue notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, very well structured, ripe lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, complex, gently toasty, mineral-tinged finish. Great effervescence with fine bright acidity. The best value of the release! TONY ASPLER / 92-points / BEST BUY - Toasty, honeyed brioche nose; medium-bodied, dry, rich and full on the palate, toasty, nutty flavour with a long citrus finish. Great balance and great value. This 100% Chardonnay 2010 Brut has 12% alcohol and only 9 g/L residual sugar with lot number L15021 on the back label. |

This bubbly is fermented in the bottle, like Champagne, and is made with 100% Chardonnay. With six years under its belt, you can expect plenty of mellow hayloft and pastry-shop characters adding complexity to binned apple and pear character. |
