Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
SUMARROCA) |
Bright medium straw colour. Slightly spicy, bright lemon-apple nose with some faintly toasty notes. Very dry, medium bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, bright, dried lemon-apple flavours with a lingering, somewhat toasty, effervescent, refreshingly tangy finish. Has 12% alcohol and only 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-235ME on the back label. Very classy and ready-to-drink. The 2009 (**/**+) was released on December 6, 2014 at $18.95. |

TASTING NOTE: \"Brut Nature\" means the wine has no dosage (sugar) added, which explains this sparkler's laser-like crispness. It opens with intriguing aromas of hay bale, sourdough bread, apple orchard, parsnip and yellow plum. There's a wallop of intense flavour on the palate, with that brilliant acidity giving a zesty, mouthwatering finish. Pair with breaded fish or seafood, or parsnip chips.
