TASTING NOTE: I'm a fan of this simplified sparkler made from an 80/20 mix of pinot noir and gamay. The nose is bright and fresh with citrus, mineral cherry fruit notes mixed with an attractive yeasty note. The mousse is light but persistent with very fresh acidity, cherry, strawberry, anise and citrus/lees flavours. Fun, fresh, bright and affordable a great introduction to French sparkling wine. Tasted Dec 2014. Score - 88 (Anthony Gismondi, winealign.com, Jan. 2, 2015) |
