TASTING NOTE: Busy and can't decide which weight to adopt; ethereal hazelnut and citrus rise above the languid tannins; no doubting the richness of body and the exceptional weight: first it is scorched yet juicy barely by the cartload, then thudding oak with just enough ulmo honey to oil the wheels. And then rampaging spice; settles for more prosaic butterscotch but the spices continue to bristle; while there are whiskies like this in the world, there is a point to this book... Score - 92.5 (Jim Murray, Whisky Bible, 2014) |
