Very bright day-glo golden yellow colour. Fairly intense, elegant, ripe plum-lemon nose with some hints of caramel and a touch of pepper. Wow - refined, fairly dry, intense, harmonious, honeyed, smooth, delicious ripe lemon-melon-plum flavours with a lingering, vanilla wafer, biscuity finish. |

TASTING NOTE: Tangy, lively and refusing to admit its old age: a fabulous marriage of Palma violets and something much fruitier; fabulously refreshing with a continuous retracing of its malty steps. A little curious salt sits comfortably with the oak; much drier and vanillin pronounced; if anyone is capable of making a Linkwood tick, it is G&M: wonderful! Score - 91.
