TASTING NOTE: The whiskies produced at Clynelish are noted for their impressive ability to allow you to taste the sea air, and certainly that salty and briny quality shines through here. Though typically saline, there are also plenty of malty and not-peaty-smoke flavours adding complexity. There is a rich and evocative interplay between the Highland and Maritime here. A treat for the connoisseur and the (spirited) curious alike. (Vintages panel, Dec. 2012) |
