Medium-light orange-tinged amber colour. Intense, very slightly peppery, baked lemon nose with some smoky notes. Firm, dry, fairly intense, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly peppery, caramel flavours with a lingering crisp, burnt toast finish. Similar to when it last appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on April 14, 2012 at $44.95 and was Recommended. |

TASTING NOTE: Golden amber color. Bold aromas of peat, iodine, baklava, and creme caramel follow through on a rich, satiny entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-full body with layer of butter cream, dried fruits, pine cone ash, oat cereal, and sweet spice. Finishes with a long interplay of cream, spice, and [an] iodine-laced part. Impressive, different and fun. Exceptional. Score: 93 (tastings.com, April 16, 2009) |
