TASTING NOTE: The unique packaging makes it look like something Hemingway would drink. Tasting it confirms it. Aromatic and masculine on the nose, it features aromas of new leather, smoked meat and a hint of caramel apple. A touch of peatiness appears on the late palate, giving it more heft. Served neat, it is quite warm, with a long finish. With a splash of water, everything shows its best. (Vintages panel, Aug. 2012) |
