Scotland, 200th Anniversary Bottling TASTING NOTE: Brilliant amber color. Rich, dense aromas of saddle leather, cocoa, salty sautéed almonds, and golden raisin scone with a silky, dry-yet-fruity medium-full body and a long, evolving chocolate nut fudge, maple, vanilla bean, grain flour, mossy seashore earth, and warming peppery spice finish. A beautifully rich and captivating dram. Exceptional. Score: 95 (Panel, tastings.com, May 18, 2011) |
