TASTING NOTE: Medium brick-orange, tending auburn in the glass. Expressive praline, roasted hazelnuts, marmalade, dried orange peel, spice cupboard, and sweet tea notes. Medium in sweetness on the mid-palate, with bright acidity steering the tastebuds towards a medium-dry finish. Intriguing, tangy, full bodied and brimming with character. A sumptuous java note emerges on the long, spicy finish. Enjoy on its own or with moderately sweet desserts, such as pecan cookies or coffee cake. (VINTAGES panel, Sept. 2010)
