Very light yellow colour. Intense, very slightly spicy, ripe lemon nose with some vanilla notes. Fairly dry, harmonious, slightly spicy, caramel-tinged, ripe plummy flavours with a lingering, crisp finish. |

"Below is the most recent review from Whisky Magazine and is representative of the Hazelburn house style. TASTING NOTE: Nose: Very sweet with lots of estery notes: lemon, apple, bubblegum, iris. American cream soda, orange smarties. Palate: A clean, sweet, start. Barley sugar, banana, lightly floral/chestnut blossom. Water shows a touch of honey. Lovely feel. Finish: Glides away. Great length. Comment: Good impact for a “light” whisky. Highly recommended. Score: 8 (out of 10) (Dave Broom, www.whiskymag.com, Nov. 2006) " |
