A Vintage Assessments Explorer's Selection! |
Well before the rest of Tuscany, Carmignano was the first DOC to allow Cabernet Sauvignon into its blend with Sangiovese, and it was Tenuta di Capezzana that drove the appellation. Carmignano received its DOC in 1975 and DOCG in 1990. Enjoy this plum-, blueberry-, cherry and vanilla-scented wine with a meatbased pasta sauce or grilled steak. |
