“... the vineyards of Cahors provide the southwest’s largest number of outstanding red wines. This is the homeland of the Malbec grape ... The best Cahors are still big and powerful, and go well with robust fare such as steaks, stews and roasted meats.” (Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator, Oct. 15, 2007) This polished wine from the outstanding 2005 vintage is packed with vibrant black fruit, smoky oak, and mineral notes. The refined tannins provide enough structure for this to last another 7-10 years. |
