Malvasia (a.k.a. Malmsey) is the sweetest of the four styles of Madeira. Though it's the 'sweetest' of the bunch, the inherently high acidity of a Madeira gives this an even drier aspect than Port. The intensity of a 10-year-old Madeira has to be tried to be believed. Enjoy with mature cheeses, dried fruits or nuts. |
