TASTING NOTE: Springbank has been exploring innovative, limited-edition whiskies aged in a variety of casks, and the results have been a definite boon for Scotch lovers. This Scotch spent 9 years in Bourbon casks, and 3 more in Bordeaux casks. The nose here is rich and fruity with lots of dried fruits, caramel and cereals. The palate is a complex assembly of fresh red fruits, orange peel, wood, earth and spice. The finish is long with lingering spice notes. This ranks as a must-have for any serious Scotch folk.
