| JUNMAI NIGORI SAKE Fukui Prefecture, Japan |
| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

HANAGAKI |
| NEW in Vintages. This National Warmed Sake Contest Gold Award] Winner has a pale milky colour. Attractive, slightly spicy, bright, warm, rissoto aromatics. Gently sweet, elegant, slightly spicy, medium bodied, fairly intense, well textured, harmonious, pure rice flavours with some lovely fragrant hits of Boletus edulis on the lingering lifted finish. It has 14.5% alcohol and 52 g/L residual sugar. Junmai designation indicates that no alcohol has been added to the sake, and 'Nigori' means that it is naturally cloudy and should be shaken gently before opening. Personally, I like it served at just a shade below room temperature. |
