| TASTING NOTE: Always representative of an arch classic Greek red and more pointedly about Nemean agiorgitiko with its sweet rusticity, mountain tea savour and windy summer dustiness. Terrific tannic composure and darker fruit than may, plummy and never peppery but washing over the palate in waves of softness. Thanassis Papaioannou passed away in 2019, same vintage as this spot on agiorgitiko that delivers what he always understood, the idea that wine must maintain its unique sense of place. Drink 2024-2028. Tasted November 2024. Score - 92 (Michael Godel, winealign.com) |
