FLAT ROCK |
| Bright fairly deep red colour. Intense, faintly spicy, gently complex, ripe, plum-strawberry nose with some hints of black cherry followed up by a chestnut-tinged, autumnal forest floor notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, very nicely textured, attractive, ripe, maturing, plum-raspberry-strawberry flavours with a lingering, lifted, gently complex, savoury finish. Showing very nicely now, it has 14.5% alcohol, 4.2 g/L residual sugar and 5.6 g/L total acidity with lot number 2021-09-23 on the lower part of the glass bottle. |

| TASTING NOTE: Clone 115, last pick, 17% whole cluster. Fresh, mineral, fine - lovely sweet cherry fruit with nice structure and fine spicy notes. There's a silkiness here with a twist of sour cherry, and really nice acidity. Very fine. Score - 95 (Jamie Goode, wineanorak.com, July 29, 2022) |
