THE OC CHARDONNAY 2023 VQA Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FLAT ROCK
This small 170 case lot of The OC Chardonnay has a bright medium-plus straw colour with an intense, rather cedary, slightly tropical, ripe, creamy, lemon meringue pie nose with some honeyed browning apple notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, nicely textured, harmonious, ripe, pear-tinged, lemon-apple meringue fruit flavours with a lingering, fairly toasty, bright finish. Very pleasant and ready-to-drink. Vinified and matured in new French oak on fine lees for 21 months, it has 13.5% alcohol, 1.3 g/L residual sugar and a hefty life-saving 7.15 g/L total acidity. Bottled on June 2, 2025, it comes with a screwcap closure - 220 cases produced. CSPC 47947
