| ESTATE RIESLING 2021 VQA Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment, sustainable |
| Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
HIDDEN BENCH |
| Bright pale straw colour. Attractive, faintly spicy, floral, bright, fresh, ripe, peach-driven, lemon-apple nose with some minerally notes. Fairly dry, medium-bodied, vibrant, fresh, ripe, lemon-apple-pear flavours with a lingering, crisp, minerally finish. This organic Riesling has approximately 10.5% alcohol and 14 g/L residual sugar with a hefty 9 g/L total acidity making it seem much drier than it actually is. Has a cork closure and was bottled on April 6, 2022 and now with over three years of aging. It is nicely textured and perfectly ready to enjoy. |

| TASTING NOTE: This Riesling is a blend of fruit picked by hand from three organically farmed estate vineyards: Locust Lane, Felseck and Rosomel. It evokes enticing honeysuckle, apricot, candied lemon and steely minerality and features a touch of residual sweetness balanced by crisp acidity. It'll pair nicely with sushi rolls, coconut shrimp, or traditional Thanksgiving dinner. |
